AI assistance and editorial review
AI assistance can help prepare drafts and illustrative visuals. Fact-checking, editing and corrections are part of the editorial process. AI output is not itself evidence for a factual or safety claim. An instruction should be checked against relevant manufacturer guidance and reliable sources before publication. Unresolved claims should be withheld rather than presented as verified.
Testing and evidence
A researched explanation is different from a practical test. FixNest must not say a repair or product was personally tested unless actual project notes support that claim. Where a test is described, the article should explain its conditions, limitations and evidence. Estimated costs must be identified as estimates, not presented as receipts or measured savings.
Photos, stock images and generated illustrations
Stock images may be used only with appropriate publication rights. AI-generated featured images and other illustrative visuals must not be presented as original before-and-after photos, proof of a repair, or product test evidence. Captions and descriptions should make an image’s illustrative or generated nature clear when relevant. Original project photos, if supplied, should be identified accurately.
Safety and corrections
General content must not substitute for licensed or suitably qualified help with electrical, gas, structural or specialist plumbing work. Relevant product instructions and the limits of DIY work should be clear.

Commercial disclosures
AdSense advertising and a newsletter are planned but have not been enabled in the current setup. Affiliate links may be considered in the future. Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed where relevant; no affiliate review or sponsored test result should be fabricated.
